About Harbord P&C
WELCOME TO HARBORD P&C
Harbord Public School P&C Association is a parent-led, not-for-profit community organisation working alongside Harbord Public School to support our students, families and wider school community.
We do much more than fundraising. The P&C oversees and supports services and programs that are part of everyday life at Harbord, including OOSH, the Canteen, Uniform Shop and Harbord School Band Program, alongside community events, fundraising and initiatives that support our school.
At the heart of it all is our community — parents, carers, employees, volunteers and local partners working together to make a positive difference for Harbord kids.
MORE THAN YOU THINK
With annual operations of around $2.5 million, Harbord P&C is a substantial community-based organisation. Behind the services, programs and events our families see every day is a significant operation involving people, finance, governance, compliance, facilities, risk and community engagement.
Our elected Executive and committees are made up largely of volunteer parents and carers, many juggling work and family commitments while contributing their time, skills and experience. They work alongside our employees and service teams to help ensure the P&C is well governed, sustainable and focused on supporting Harbord kids and families.
At its heart, the P&C is our community working together to make a difference.
MEMBERSHIP
P&C membership is open to parents and carers of students at Harbord Public School, as well as interested members of our community.
Becoming a member doesn't commit you to volunteering or taking on a role. It gives you the opportunity to participate in P&C meetings and vote on decisions, including how P&C funds are used.
Membership is just 50¢ per year and is a simple way to stay connected and have a voice in your P&C.
JUMP IN & JOIN US!
Our P&C is stronger when new people, ideas and skills continue to come through the door.
Getting involved doesn’t have to mean taking on a major role. You might attend a meeting, volunteer for an hour, help at an event, join a committee, share an idea or lend your professional skills to a project behind the scenes.
For those interested in doing more, there are opportunities to take on committee and leadership roles and help shape the future of our P&C and the services we provide.
Whatever your availability, there’s a place for you at Harbord P&C.
